I was responsible of the key atmospheres and concept boards on the preproduction of The Alpine Whistle.
I worked on the lumas and colorscripts to fix the different ambiances of the movie.
The challenge was to progress on shots which wasn't yet fixed on the storyboard team side in order to finalize them. They were constantly retouched depending the progress of the other preproduction team.
The key was to fix our intentions from the beginning in order to look for the better way to convey emotions depending of the light directions and intensity.
It was a great experience as this step is the root of the visuals of the project, where we can taste the atmospheres for the first time !
It is a key part to prepare the lighting for later.
